The Name
We didn't invent
this name. We found it.
Teleperformance India already runs a flagship year-long leadership programme called One Team — built with the Center for Creative Leadership, currently developing 100 of their high-potential leaders.
When this offsite was described to FORJ as "getting these 25 people to function as a complete team," we didn't need to name a new philosophy. It already had one.
The One Team Cup isn't a separate initiative.
It's what One Team looks like when it stops being a classroom concept and becomes something you can only prove by doing.

One table. No trust yet.
23 senior leaders from two countries who had worked in silos — in different time zones, on different priorities, with different management cultures. They share a company name. They hadn't yet shared a pitch.
In a boardroom, the kind of trust that makes a leader call a counterpart at 11pm without hesitation takes months to build. FORJ was briefed to accelerate it — in two days, in Goa, through sport.

this different.

Not India vs. Philippines. That's the one thing we would not do.
If the two teams split along the exact line this offsite existed to dissolve, we'd be building the opposite of One Team. Both squads were deliberately mixed — India and Philippines, every function, on both sides.

The winning team nominates a cause the company funds for a full year.

The rules are the point. Not an obstacle.
Every custom rule in each sport was designed to force a specific leadership behaviour under time pressure.

CricketOne over, declare 10+ target. Hit it — double points. Miss — zero. Forces conviction and risk appetite from the Captain.
The Captain Switch
CricketCaptaincy can change mid-innings. New Captain: 30 seconds to keep the plan or change it. Decisiveness under pressure.
30-sec Between Overs
CricketCross it and it's a 5-run penalty. Plan your bowling order before the innings, not during it.
Mandatory Substitutions
FootballAt 8, 16, and 24 minutes — not optional. Forces squad management and forces everyone to play.

Cross-border teams
That worked
An India executive and a Philippines executive covering for each other in mixed doubles at 10 AM. By cricket at 1 PM, they were finishing each other's tactical sentences. That's not a workshop outcome.

The Cricket Captain Switch rule put a leader in a 30-second decision window in front of their whole team. The Challenge Over forced public commitment to a high-risk call. Real pressure. Real data.
